To be truly alive

“Aliveness is energy. It’s the juice, the vitality, and the passion that wakes up our cells every morning. It’s what makes us want to dance. It’s the energy that moves a relationship from the status quo to something grander and much more expansive, something that makes our hearts beat faster, our minds and our eyes open wider, than ever before. Everything is of interest to a person who is truly alive, whether it’s a challenge, a loving moment, a bucket of grief, or a glimpse of beauty.”

To be truly alive is to embrace the many forms of life's godly gifts.

To be truly alive is to feel, to experience, to embrace a whole range of human emotions- regret, pain, sorrow, apathy, indecision, hope, love, joy, gratitude- every moment a precious gift from above.

No two sojourns the same- some seem to end too soon while others seem wildly complicated and messy and everything in between.

Fairness in this life is constructed by the hands of worldly angels that, directed by divine interventions, walk us home through personalized experiences that deepen, refine, and propel.

We are all walking home together.

The situations we wake up to, the people placed around us, and the complexities we carry inside are anything but mere mistakes or careless coincidence- they are our daily destinies.

So let us spend more time understanding and less time judging, more time with the people we love and less time on the things we love, more time implementing lessons learned and less time ever-stuck in the past, more time in the present and less time in our heads, more time being truly alive and less time building walls to block out life's salty yet cleansing ebs and flows.

To be truly alive is to embrace the many forms of life's godly gifts.
