Love

I'm not sure what love is sometimes, but I've definitely felt it, even in the most unusual and unexpected ways.
As much as I wish I could provide a clear, concise, yet all-encompassing definition of love, I have recently realized that I can only express its multi-faced nature by how it feels.

Love feels good, it doesn't need or want.
Love is honesty in the face of fear, as well as the comforting peace that follows as soon as sometimes difficult words of truth are said aloud.
Love is an understanding that transcends all, even when the end is unclear.
Love is a deep understanding and respect for who we all are and what we are destined to become.
Love drives the perfect balance between holding on and letting go.
Love lets you know when you are ready, and when you are not.
Love gives unconditionally,
to God, yourself, and others.
Love does not discriminate.
Love is a broken heart,
a humbled spirit.

Love is uncharted territory, whose exploration is worth more than any fears found deep inside its terrain.

  1. Oh my another deep and thoughtful post. You amaze me with your thoughts, thank you. I again sent a copy to the family just to show what a fine woman our Jordan has grown into.
Just got home from Spain so was a little late reading this Love post. Jonathan is going through a love issue and thought it would be good for him to read.
