It's been a long week. I pushed back finals in order to go on a business trip, and while traveling can be enjoyable, it can also be exhausting. The pinnacle of highlights from the trip had to have been when I found myself on an enormous king sized bed late at night in a lonely hotel room watching the trashy hit, Toddlers in Tiaras, which was especially depressing since I NEVER watch TV, as I realized some big decisions that were approaching and reviewed recent life changes that felt out of my control.
However, after coming into my office yesterday morning I found the following quote that someone had printed off and left on my desk (when I say "my office," I really mean the office that I share with other teaching assistants):
"If we have faith in Jesus Christ, the hardest as well as the easiest times in life can be a blessing. In all conditions, we can choose the right with the guidance of the Spirit. We have the gospel of Jesus Christ to shape and guide our lives in we choose it. And with prophets revealing to us our place in the plan of salvation we can live with perfect hope and a feeling of peace. We never need feel that we are alone of unloved in the Lord's service, because we never are. We can feel the love of God. The Savior has promised angels on our left and our right, to bear us up. And He always keeps His word."

Moving always seems to coincide with a myriad of emotions, and this time is no exception. The past 24 hours have been crazy, full of unexpected twists and turns, leaving me feeling more alone than expected while packing up my life, and experiencing déjà vu (see: Packing Up, Moving On).
With a new semester approaching, graduation right around the corner, and uncertainties permeating almost every aspect of my life, I know that it can only go up from here. Because "destiny grants us our wishes, but in it's own way, in order to give us something beyond our wishes," and when nothing in life seems certain, it can only become more certain.
So here's to a new move, new changes, and more unexpected twists and turns to come.
